In March 2026, Binance overhauled its VIP eligibility criteria to make the program accessible to more users. Entry requirements for VIP 1 through VIP 3 were cut by up to 80%, and new qualification pathways were introduced for holders and borrowers.
Trader Pathway: Volume + BNB Holdings
The primary qualification pathway rewards active traders. Your VIP level is determined by the higher of your 30-day rolling trading volume (Spot or Futures) and your daily BNB balance. You must meet either criterion — not both — to achieve a given tier.
| VIP Level | Spot Volume (30D) | Futures Volume (30D) | BNB Balance |
|---|---|---|---|
| VIP 1 | ≥ $1,000,000 | ≥ $5,000,000 | ≥ 5 BNB |
| VIP 2 | ≥ $5,000,000 | ≥ $10,000,000 | ≥ 25 BNB |
| VIP 3 | ≥ $20,000,000 | ≥ $50,000,000 | ≥ 100 BNB |
| VIP 4 | ≥ $100,000,000 | ≥ $200,000,000 | ≥ 300 BNB |
| VIP 5 | ≥ $150,000,000 | ≥ $500,000,000 | ≥ 1,000 BNB |
| VIP 9 | ≥ $4,000,000,000 | ≥ $30,000,000,000 | ≥ 5,500 BNB |
Holder Program Pathway
Users who hold significant asset balances can qualify for VIP status without trading. Under Path A: VIP 1 requires $500,000 in wallet assets plus 25 BNB; VIP 2 requires $1,500,000 plus 100 BNB; VIP 3 requires $3,000,000 plus 250 BNB. BNB and Earn assets are now included in the calculation, providing greater flexibility.
Borrower Program Pathway
Users who utilize Binance margin and loan services can qualify through the Borrower Program based on their 30-day average net borrowing volumes. VIP 1 requires $100,000 USDT in average net volume with 25 BNB; VIP 2 requires $500,000 USDT with 100 BNB.
Tier Demotion Policy
If your trading volume or BNB balance drops below the threshold for your current VIP level in the daily evaluation, you will be downgraded at 01:00 UTC. Traders approaching the end of a 30-day cycle should monitor their volume to maintain tier status.
